For a person who used to spend huge blocks of time regretting the past and worrying about the future, this slogan helps me every day to bring my focus back to this one day, today, and concentrate on what I can do today to make my life more serene and fulfilling. For me, the key to solving today’s problems lies more in doing one small thing today – saying a prayer, calling my sponsor, reading some Conference-Approved Literature – than in making plans for what I might do to solve them tomorrow, or dwelling upon what I could have done in the past to prevent them.
