For those without access to a local face-to-face S-Ateen meeting, young people ages 12 to 19 affected by sexaholism in a family member or friend are invited to share experience, strength and hope with other teens via the S-Ateen Online Community.
S-Ateen Online Community meetings are held weekly, where teens have the opportunity to share on the Twelve Steps and various topics found in S-Ateen Conference Approved Literature. These live voice meetings can be accessed by phone (landline or cellular) or by computer (via web dialer – which is preferred so members can simultaneously view the site/readings/meeting format during the meeting).
The S-Ateen Online Community is hosted on a secure server designed exclusively for this site. Only S-Ateens and certified S-Ateen Group Sponsors may join the S-Ateen Online Community. As such, registration is required to access the full site, screen out unwanted users, and thereby protect the anonymity of the teens onsite.
Easily accessible on the S-Ateen Online Community are the S-Ateen readings and meeting format, S-Ateen member and Group Sponsor posts, a weekly topic for member sharing, calendar of events, and a 31-day daily devotional featuring appropriate selections from S-Anon’s Reflections of Hope.
Certified S-Ateen Group Sponsors monitor the site to ensure it remains a safe place where members can post shares with the group, without the threat of private online chat and inappropriate conversations.
The S-Ateen Online Community provides young people around the globe with the opportunity to safely and securely meet, share, grow, and recover together. To register or for more information, email s-ateen@sanon.org.
