What is the program schedule?
Meetings
Meetings at International Conventions give members the opportunity to hear experience, strength, and hope from S-Anons worldwide. Not only do these meetings and new friendships help boost recovery, they also deepen a connection to the S-Anon Fellowship, ourselves, and Higher Power.
Meetings will begin on Friday early afternoon, June 23, and end around noon on Sunday, June 25. We hope to publish a tentative schedule by April 2023. To gain a better idea of what to expect, please review the January 2019 and January 2020 International Convention programs.
Please note: This is an S-Anon and S-Ateen only event.
Speakers
The current plan is to have six S-Anon speakers throughout the weekend. If you are interested in being a Speaker, please complete the Speaker’s Pool Registration Form and send to [email protected].
S-Ateen Program
In addition to the scheduled S-Anon meetings, S-Ateen members will benefit from separate breakout sessions designed specifically for young people, ages 12 to 19. They will learn about the Twelve Steps of S-Ateen and other relevant recovery principles. S-Ateen members will also have the opportunity to share with others who truly understand, hear how others have solved similar problems, and discover a new hope.
Are there any scholarships available from the WSO?
The WSO is not able to offer scholarships. However, many meetings and Intergroups are offering scholarships for members in their areas. Those looking for scholarships are encouraged to contact their local groups or Intergroups for more information.
Are there volunteer opportunities?
The International Convention Committee and World Service Office are looking to the S-Anon fellowship to help pull off this event! Please consider volunteering throughout the weekend. During registration, please note which area of service you are interested in and a member of the ICC or WSO will reach out to schedule you. We need volunteers to lead meetings, provide meeting room support, work at the literature and registration table, temporary sponsors, etc. We ask that meeting leaders and temporary sponsors to have been in the S-Anon program for at least 2 years prior to signing up for this service.
Email [email protected] if you have volunteer questions.
