S-Anon and S-Ateen International Family Groups’ primary purpose is to help the friends and family members of sexaholics. Many who could benefit from our programs of recovery still do not know of their existence. Outreach service helps to communicate the message of S-Anon/S-Ateen to the general public by reaching out to professionals, the media, and institutions. Our goals are to attract newcomers to our fellowship, and to increase awareness of our fellowship within the community.
The World Service Office (WSO) offers the following resources for use by groups in local outreach efforts.
Additional suggestions for carrying the S-Anon message include:
- Displaying literature at local professional conferences and being available to answer questions.
- Offering S-Anon literature to public libraries or to professional practices with waiting rooms.
- Offering literature and/or an S-Anon meeting to local correctional facilities.
- Letter writing to S-Anon members who are incarcerated.
