The Special Appeal is a tri-annual request from the S-Anon World Service Office for 7th Tradition donations. Please share this appeal with your group and consider making a contribution today!
Dear Fellow S-Anon Members,
Like many of you, when I came to my first S-Anon meeting, I was completely devastated by the sexual behavior of another person. “The S-Anon Problem” states, “We have felt betrayed by those we loved the most.” I remember feeling desperate for help, and I found it in the loving rooms of S-Anon, where I sat shoulder to shoulder with others, and began practicing spiritual tools which help me recover from the effects of sexaholism.
After about two years in S-Anon, I attended my first international convention. I was nervous and didn’t know what to expect. I volunteered to lead a meeting, and it felt just like my home meeting, but with new perspectives! I was inspired by the S-Anon speakers and enjoyed fellowship with others from around the country and the world. Attending this convention left me with the desire to help carry the message of recovery to others, and to share the gifts of the S-Anon program that I have so freely received.
Since that first convention, I have sponsored others, helped start a meeting, served in my home group, and now serve as the Colorado Area Delegate and as the S-Anon Chairperson of planning for the upcoming S-Anon/S-Ateen Hope Elevated International Convention on July 17-19, 2026, in Denver. I’ve come to understand how much support it takes to sustain and grow the fellowship. The World Service Office (WSO) plays a vital role in connecting the members of our fellowship, including financial support to international conventions to help with early expenses and support in the convention planning process from the Board of Trustees (BOT) International Conventions Committee. I hope to see many of you at the convention in Denver. You can find more information & register to attend at our website: denverhope2026.org.
I invite you to consider an additional contribution to the WSO to help ensure that S-Anon is there when newcomers reach out, and to support all the other services that it provides to our fellowship. Your Seventh Tradition contributions help carry the message of recovery through the work of BOT committees such as International Conventions, Public Information & Outreach, Literature, and World Service Conference, just to name a few. Contributions can be made online at sanon.org/contribute, or via postal mail to S-Anon WSO, P.O. Box 17294, Nashville, TN 37217.
It has been my privilege to serve our fellowship.
In grateful service,
Sherrie H., S-Anon Colorado Area Delegate and Denver 2026 S-Anon/S-Ateen International Convention Chairperson
