I listened to people sharing at S-Anon meetings and felt like they were telling my story. I could relate so well to the feelings they expressed, yet it was a hurdle for me to get over feeling totally inadequate about sharing. I often choked up with emotion, making sharing impossible. So I started very small— talking to people after the meeting, especially people with stories to which I could relate. Eventually I could share at meetings. Now, when someone comes to me after a meeting and thanks me for my sharing, I am amazed and thank my Higher Power.
