There is a new page on the S-Anon website for members who would like to submit their written experience, strength, and hope for inclusion in future S-Anon Conference Approved Literature (CAL). It clarifies the topics on which we need writing and explains how your writing submissions are used.

All S-Anon CAL is written by S-Anon members for S-Anon members and offers valuable experience about recovery from the effects of another person’s sex addiction. Our literature focuses on the solution rather than the problem and explains the S-Anon Twelve Step approach to recovery.  Much of our literature is made up of stories from S-Anon members who share their specific experiences on a variety of topics.  As such, the Literature Committee is always open to receiving written submissions from members for future use as new literature is developed for the fellowship.

Some topic ideas for writing submissions for inclusion in CAL in process or on the horizon include:

  • S-Anon Twelve Concepts of Service stories, particularly Concepts Six through Twelve.
  • Stories from members affected by the sexaholic behavior of a parent or child.
  • Stories of recovery from S-Ateen members or from the S-Ateen point of view of adult members who grew up in a home where sexual addiction was present.
  • Stories that more broadly express the diverse membership of S-Anon.

It does not matter how long you have been working the S-Anon program. Sharing your experience, strength, and hope in this manner is a meaningful form of Twelfth Step service, boosting your own recovery while contributing to CAL that supports the recovery of all S-Anon members. Please consider serving our fellowship in this manner.
