In an important organizational update, the S-Anon Board of Trustees has decided to dissolve the Archives Committee due to 8 years of inactivity. This decision was made to streamline operations and ensure the continued preservation of the fellowship’s history.
The Archives Committee, since its inception, has played a pivotal role in preserving the history of S-Anon, with its most significant accomplishment resulting in the creation of the history book, Along the Journey: The Story of S-Anon’s First Forty Years. This publication has been instrumental in chronicling the development of S-Anon, serving as a valuable resource for both current members and future generations.
Moving forward, the responsibilities of the Archives Committee will be assumed by the World Service Office (WSO). This transition ensures that the vital work of archiving and preserving S-Anon’s historical documents continues. The WSO is committed to maintaining the legacy of the Archives Committee and expanding upon it to better serve the fellowship.
