In the June WSO Update, a new policy approved by the S-Anon Board of Trustees was announced. This policy requires all S-Anon groups to provide a generic or anonymous email address that will be published as part of their meeting information on the S-Anon website when registering or updating their group information with the WSO.
With the Annual Group Update quickly approaching, we wanted to send a gentle reminder to any group the currently does not have this type of email address to begin making plans. A generic or anonymous email address helps ensure the privacy of individual members while maintaining a reliable point of contact for newcomers and inquiries. The WSO has a list of S-Anon members available to assist with creating this type of email account should support be needed. For more information or assistance, please reach out to us at sanon@sanon.org.
This policy change underscores our commitment to welcoming newcomers warmly and ensuring they can easily access the help and support offered by S-Anon. By providing direct communication avenues, we reduce barriers for those seeking assistance and enhance the overall effectiveness of our fellowship. This decision is designed to support our primary purpose of helping those affected by the disease of sex addiction, and we appreciate group participation and support as we navigate this new policy.
