It goes without saying that this past year has been like no other, but one thing is undeniable: S-Anon Groups have graciously and impressively taken on the challenge to adapt, ensuring recovery isn’t closed just because many meeting spaces are.
The World Service Office (WSO) understands that many groups are still in a temporary phone or virtual meeting space or may be in limbo waiting for the right time to begin meeting in person. This year, the WSO has created an Online Group Update Form to reflect the many circumstances Groups may still find themselves in by providing space for a temporary update of meeting details.
Would you mind taking a moment to review this list of all S-Anon Groups to find your group and see when an update was last received? If you find it’s been over a year, please ask your group or your group’s WSO Contact to complete the Online Group Update Form. Even if the meeting details are temporary, staying in touch helps keep the WSO records current and assures the WSO staff that when a newcomer is reaching out for help, accurate information is provided on how and where a newcomer can find support.
