S-Anon International Family Groups
General information about the role and responsibilities of an Area Delegate is outlined below. A complete description of Area Delegates and the S-Anon Service Structure is presented in the S-Anon/S-Ateen Service Manual. More information can also be found in the pamphlet, "Serving as an S-Anon Area Delegate." A copy of this pamphlet is available as free download from the SIFG Online Store.
The S-Anon "traditional" service structure is a work-in-progress. We are still breaking new ground as we move toward an S-Anon World Service Conference (WSC) that is fully representative of all our groups and members. We do have a structure set up, but many Areas are not yet “organized” to any extent and do not yet have Area Delegates. Most Area Delegates at this time have volunteered, rather than been elected, to help make this service structure a reality.
It is an exciting and challenging time to be an Area Delegate. If you would like to be put in touch with a currently serving Delegate, please email your contact information to email@example.com, and your message will be forwarded by the World Service Office. Please remember that Area Delegates are volunteers; someone will contact you as soon as they are able to do so.
